Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly and set it aside to ensure the s’mores mixture does not stick during cooling.
  2. Melt the butter: Place a large saucepan over low heat and melt 6 tablespoons of butter until mostly liquified but not fully melted, to prevent burning.
  3. Add marshmallows: Stir in 16 ounces of mini marshmallows into the melted butter and cook over low heat until completely melted and smooth, creating a sticky marshmallow base.
  4. Remove from heat: Take the pan off the heat to stop the melting process and prevent overcooking.
  5. Combine with cereal: Stir in 8 cups of Golden Grahams cereal until the mixture is evenly coated with the marshmallow blend.
  6. Mix in extras: Add the remaining 5 ounces of mini marshmallows and 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips to the cereal mixture. Stir gently to combine evenly without crushing the marshmallows.
  7. Press into dish: Transfer the marshmallow cereal mixture into the prepared baking dish, using a spatula or lightly greased hands to press it firmly and evenly across the surface.
