Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds & nori strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add sliced chicken and toss well to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken strips for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring continuously. Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil and cook ramen noodles according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes). Drain noodles and toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked noodles evenly between serving bowls. Spoon the creamy garlic sauce generously over the noodles. Top each bowl with the spicy chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and a halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes according to your preferred spice level.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Discard the ramen seasoning packets as this recipe uses its own flavorful sauce.
  • Soft-boil eggs by cooking them in boiling water for 6-7 minutes, then plunge into ice water before peeling.
  • For extra crunch and freshness, add shredded carrots.
