A refreshing Cherry Coke Margarita that combines the bold flavors of blanco tequila, amaretto, and lime with the fizzy sweetness of chilled cola. This easy-to-make cocktail is perfect for summer gatherings or whenever you crave a fun, fruity drink with a kick.

Ingredients

Scale

Cherry Coke Margarita

  • 4 dark cherries (fresh or frozen and thawed)
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz amaretto
  • 1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
  • Chilled cola of choice (preferably Coke Zero)

Instructions

  1. Muddle the cherries and lime juice: Add the four dark cherries and 1/2 ounce of lime juice to a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, crush the cherries and lime juice together until the cherries are pulped and the juice is released.
  2. Add spirits and ice: Pour in 1/2 ounce of amaretto and 1 1/2 ounces of blanco tequila into the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice to chill the mixture thoroughly.
  3. Shake the cocktail: Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to combine the flavors and chill the ingredients well.
  4. Strain and serve: Strain the contents into a glass filled with ice, removing the cherry pulp and solid bits.
  5. Top with chilled cola: Carefully pour your preferred chilled cola (Coke Zero recommended) over the strained cocktail to top it off.
  6. Stir gently and enjoy: Give the drink a gentle stir to mix the cola with the cocktail base, then serve immediately and enjoy your Cherry Coke Margarita!

Notes

  • MOCKTAIL: Replace the amaretto with Torani amaretto syrup and substitute the tequila with a zero-proof alternative or omit it altogether for a non-alcoholic version. Use Diet Coke or Coke Zero to balance the added sweetness from the syrup.
  • For best flavor, use fresh or well-thawed dark cherries.
  • Use a proper cocktail shaker for optimal chilling and mixing.
