Instructions

  1. Whisk the butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, whisk the butter and sugar together until the mixture is creamy and fluffy, creating a smooth base for the batter.
  2. Add eggs and lemon: Incorporate the eggs, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest into the butter-sugar mixture. Whisk thoroughly until combined and smooth.
  3. Incorporate dry ingredients: Add the all-purpose flour and salt to the wet mixture. Mix gently but thoroughly until the batter is smooth and well blended, avoiding overmixing.
